Terms of Service

1. About the service

Loviam is a web-based dating application published by Eric Mollenthiel ("the publisher"), accessible at www.loviam.com. The service connects adults seeking friendships, romantic or dating relationships.

Loviam is 100% free: no subscription, no in-app purchase, no credit card required. Some features (seeing your likes, sending a direct message) may require tokens, earned by watching rewarded video ads.

2. Registration and eligibility

• • The service is strictly reserved for adults (18 years or older).
• • You agree to provide accurate, honest and up-to-date information when signing up.
• • Only one account per person is allowed. Duplicate, fake, shared or commercial accounts are prohibited.
• • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity performed from your account.

3. Conduct rules

When using Loviam, you agree to respect other users. The following are strictly prohibited:

• • harassment, insults, threats, racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism and any form of discrimination;
• • publishing or sending child sexual abuse material, violent, hateful or illegal content;
• • impersonation, use of photos you do not own, fake profiles;
• • prostitution, commercial solicitation, paid services, romance scams;
• • spam, cold outreach, unsolicited advertising, irrelevant external links;
• • automated data collection, scraping, bot usage;
• • any attempt to bypass security, moderation or usage-limiting mechanisms.

4. Moderation and sanctions

The publisher operates a moderation system, assisted by automated tools and community reports. Any breach of these Terms may result, depending on severity, in:

• • a warning;
• • removal of the offending content (message, photo, biography);
• • a temporary suspension of the account;
• • a permanent ban, without notice or refund of any accumulated ad tokens.

In case of criminal offense, the publisher reserves the right to notify competent authorities and cooperate with them during any investigation.

To report abusive content or behavior, use the report button inside the app or write to contact@loviam.com.

5. Business model: rewarded video ads

Loviam is free and does not sell any personal data. The service is funded by rewarded video ads: users can optionally watch a video ad to earn a token, which they later spend to unlock a feature (seeing their likes, sending a direct message, etc.).

Watching ads is fully optional. No purchase, no credit card, no subscription is offered. Accumulated tokens have no monetary value, are neither refundable, transferable, nor exchangeable for money.

6. Intellectual property and user content

The Loviam brand, logo, design, source code and all site elements (excluding user content) are the exclusive property of the publisher and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to the content you publish (photos, biography, messages). By publishing such content on Loviam, you grant the publisher a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license, strictly for the technical needs of the service (displaying to other users, storage, backup, moderation). This license ends when the content or the account is deleted.

You agree to publish only content you own or for which you hold the necessary rights. Any content infringing third-party rights is your sole responsibility.

7. Personal data

The processing of your personal data is described in detail in our privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

Loviam is a matchmaking platform. The publisher does not intervene in private exchanges between users, does not verify the reality of meetings, the accuracy of published information, or the behavior of members outside the service.

You use the service at your own risk. The publisher cannot under any circumstances be held liable for:

• • the behavior of other users, online or offline;
• • direct or indirect damages arising from a meeting initiated through the service;
• • temporary outages, malfunctions or technical bugs;
• • data loss caused by a hack beyond its control, despite the security measures in place.

The publisher strives to keep the service available 24/7, without however guaranteeing absolute availability. Maintenance operations may cause temporary interruptions.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, without justification and without contacting support. Deletion triggers the erasure of your data in accordance with the retention periods described in the privacy policy.

The publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in case of serious breach of these Terms, without notice and without compensation.

10. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be modified at any time. In case of substantial changes, you will be notified by email or in-app at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, the parties will seek an amicable solution before any judicial action.

Failing an amicable agreement, you may use the European online dispute resolution platform free of charge: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. As a last resort, French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
